| Introduced: 1999 |
| Retired: 2000 |
| |
| In 1929 off the
Maine coast, a desperate pilot, low on fuel, lost his way
along the shore. He recognized the light from Dice
Head lighthouse. |
| Following the
bright beacons of six other lighthouses, he found his way
home. |
| A few days
later, the grateful William Wincapaw dropped Christmas
presents from his floatplane onto the grounds of the six
lighthouses. |
| |
| The "Days Gone
By" series is the first introduction of figurines that honor
the heritage of individuals who have touched the lives of
others. |
| |
|
These two figurines - "Keeper's Chores" and "Flying Santa
1929" are a matched set - both are numbered #243.
