| In 1998 the
owners of the International Collectible Expositions
commissioned Harmony Kingdom to create an event piece for
their shows that were held in Edison, New Jersey in April
of that year, and in Rosemont, Illinois in June. |
| 2500 pieces
were available at each show. Due to
unprecedented sales at the Edison Show, all pieces were
sold out by Saturday afternoon. After that,
the ICE management implemented special procedures to
ensure that collectors could purchase only one piece at
each show. |
| Five frisky
cats are featured on this box, peeking over the logo of
the ICE show. |
| Mad Murphy the
penguin is playing checkers with a mouse & Lord Byron the
ladybug (Lord Byron is sitting on his suitcase).
The game originally began as chess but was difficult to
produce. Some boxes still have hints of the
chess pieces on the board. |
