This Santa has an outstanding elaborately painted robe in shades of dark red, brown, gold, & ivory.
He is carrying a large horseshoe over his shoulder.
The western scene on the front of his robe features a horse & wagon on the plains.

His face is all hand carved wood & the eyes are a very detailed painting.
 
 
He is hand-signed on the bottom by the owner & designer of the company - Andre Gabricht.
 

Turn him around to see the ornately painted design on the back of his robe.
Santa's robe has traditional folk art designs painted all around.
 
During the delicate painting process, as the wood absorbs the paint, the artist applies layer after layer of the water color paint again & again, until the desired depth is achieved.
Every layer is applied without guidelines, and the artists can rely only on their skill and talent.
