Blue Burmese was created & first offered by Fenton Glass in 1999.   This heat-sensitive glass contains a mixture of pure gold & a tiny bit of cobalt oxide to achieve its delicate appearance.   A very popular glass, Blue Burmese is offered only in limited editions.

This 2007 decorated Atlantis vase is hand crafted in shiny-finished Blue Burmese glass.
The large fish have been air-brushed in pastel colors and the coloration is different on either side of the vase.   The pink color along the top edge is part of the Blue Burmese coloration;  it is not painted.
 
The Atlantis vase mould was designed by Robert May for the Duncan & Miller Glass Company & was later acquired by U. S. Glass in 1955.   Fenton bought the mould from U. S. Glass in 1969.   They have used the mould for different glass colors since then.
 
It will come in the original Fenton box.
