Inside Version 1 is a monkey playing on a drum. This reminds us of the mechanical monkey toys and old-fashioned sock monkeys.

A girl angel, fresh from her bath, snuggles in her robe on Christmas Eve. She cuddles her teddy bear close.

Beneath her chair is a mug of cocoa and her loyal dog.

On the inside of the piece, at the back, appear the numbers: 15.21.9.5.99.3.55. These numbers refer to David Lawrence's daughter, Catherine, who was born at 3:21 on May 9, 1999, & weighed 3.55 kg.

In the interior of Version 1 is the doll the angel dreams of as a gift.

This is the first box figurine that incorporates movement into its design, as it will rock back & forth.

Santa is sound asleep in his rocking chair, with a magazine on his lap featuring the 1999 sleigh models.

This Limited Edition Santa is loaded with details!! There are magazines around the base of the rocker, & a sleeping reindeer is hiding there.

Inside of the box, you will find Mad Murphy the penguin gobbling up Santa's cookies.

The various hallmarks are shown, and we have 1st Edition or 1st Mould available.

La Gardienne was the fourth Holiday Edition Angel.

This guardian angel with gilted wings & flowered headband gazes serenely at two doves that rest upon her arm.

The coloration on this particular angel can vary, according to the amount of antique stain that was used. Also, the hair can vary from yellow to dark gold.

The interior box has a nest with three tiny eggs.

The hallmarks include copyright, star, HBC logo, DL, and the edition number.

We have First Mould (or First Edition) available.

1997 Limited Edition Angel - Holiday Series

Celeste, the Star Angel, was the 1997 Holiday edition, with gold wings & holding a gold five-pointed star. This same star was adopted as the 1998 hallmark & production stamp.

The number "39" is engraved in the angel's hair, meaning this was David Lawrence's 39th piece that he carved.

There are no carvings inside of the box, as this was an early design.

There are five hallmarks on the neck of the angel. We have FIRST EDITION or FIRST MOULD as designated by the number "1" on the hallmarks.
